Moonshot has shot up to the top of the U.S. Apple App Store, becoming the #1 finance app and the #7 free app overall. All this is thanks to President-elect Trump’s $TRUMP memecoin launched that was announced today.
The excitement that followed the launch helped Moonshot, a rival to Pump.fun, which is run on the Solana blockchain. Moonshot was listed on $TRUMP’s official website as the recommended destination to purchase the token. Anyone can purchase $TRUMP on the platform with cryptocurrency, debit cards, or Apple Pay.
Moonshot has surpassed major apps like Instagram and tiktok on App Store ranking and the team has shared their joy on X
“In the last 12 hours, we were featured on $TRUMP’s website as THE way to buy, processed nearly $400m in volume, crushed fiat onramp records by orders of magnitude, and brought 200k+ new people on-chain,” the team posted.
However, the platform at a time experienced technical issues because of the traffic but Moonshot told users they were fixing the issues.
“We have a very high number of requests right now and are working through all the support tickets,” the team said.
