Galaxy, State Street Unveil Next-Gen Etfs For Digital Assets

State Street Global Advisors and Galaxy Asset Management have teamed up to offer innovative digital asset investment strategies. These products will provide exposure to crypto companies, as well as spot and futures-based exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and this aims to provide investors with exposure to companies in the digital asset space, moving beyond just cryptocurrencies and bitcoin.

Anna Paglia, Chief Business Officer at State Street Global Advisors, highlighted the importance of understanding the broader digital asset landscape. “We believe that the digital assets landscape is so much more than the single crypto components and that crypto native companies are best equipped to understand that ecosystem and its correlation with financial markets,” she said.

Paglia also emphasized the partnership’s goal to educate investors and offer opportunities in the rapidly evolving digital asset sector.

This partnership between State Street Global Advisors and Galaxy Asset Management aims to introduce investors to the latest innovations in digital asset investment. By leveraging the strengths of these two prominent brands and pioneers in the field, the collaboration will offer investors opportunities to access the $2.4 trillion digital asset ecosystem through manager-directed strategies.

Steve Kurz, Global Head of Asset Management at Galaxy, echoed this sentiment, noting Galaxy’s expertise in managing digital assets and crypto companies. Kurz added that this partnership can make digital assets more accessible through new ETFs.

With the growing interest in digital assets, especially since the introduction of spot bitcoin ETFs, investors are seeking diverse investment options to meet that demand by creating innovative ETFs that go beyond pure Bitcoin exposure.

State Street Bank and Trust are expected to provide administrative and accounting services for these new ETFs, reinforcing the partnership’s commitment to bringing advanced digital asset investment solutions to the market.
