Electronic music culture is arriving in Web3. Popular blockchain protocol Polkadot partners with electronic music giant Beatport to unveil “Beatport.io,” a digital collectibles marketplace.
The announcement states, “Marking Beatport’s first permanent home in the Web3 space, this platform will enable record labels and artists to create and sell unique digital assets while generating greater fan engagement.”
The platform will debut on Aventus, a Web3 solutions provider for businesses and a parachain in the Polkadot ecosystem.
Beatport and Polkadot will work together on ten events over the course of the following 18 months, in addition to the launch of Beatport.io.
Each event will mark the debut of a brand-new NFT line that is available through Polkadot-integrated wallets. The events, which will also coincide with significant music and Web3 events, will be produced by Beatport.

Beatport.io will allow music lovers to learn more about the value of digital collectibles and strengthen their relationships with their favorite musicians and DJs while enabling artists, producers, and record labels to take advantage of Web3’s benefits.
By giving artists and labels early access to extra features like unreleased music, cheap tickets, and access to international events and interactive experiences, these digital collectibles may occasionally turn into vehicles for fan involvement.
