Houston Texans Now Accepts Crypto for Single Game Suites

A Houston-based cryptocurrency company BitWallet has entered into an exclusive partnership to become the Official Digital Currency Wallet of the NFL team Houston Texans. Through this unique partnership, Houston Texans now has begun accepting cryptocurrencies for single game suites.

With this, fans have the opportunity to buy single game suites with cryptocurrency. BitWallet will act as an intermediary which will convert the cryptocurrencies to U.S. dollars.

Houston-based full-service digital marketing agency EWR Digital grabbed the opportunity and immediately purchased the first single-game suite. This move makes the Houston Texans the first NFL team that has sold a suite through digital currency.

It seems the crypto deal is just for suites as there has been no mention of being able to buy regular game tickets with cryptocurrency at this point.

A game suite refers to a luxury private viewing box in the stadium that is usually decked out with buffets, expensive alcohol, TVs, attendants, bathrooms, and a prime location to view the game.

The website of Houston Texans hasn’t listed a price for single-game or full-season suites. Instead, they have asked interested people to first submit an inquiry to purchase one. From the seat estimates, a single suite for a team ranges anywhere from $14,000 to $25,000. Reportedly, the price can go as high as $40,000.

Houston Texans President Greg Grissom also showed his excitement about this partnership saying, “We are proud to partner with BitWallet to offer an exciting option for our fans who are looking to enjoy Texans gameday in one of our suites”.

He went on to say that BitWallet is a perfect collaborator to move our organization ahead in new and innovative ways.

BitWallet CEO John T. Perrone also commented “I am honored that BitWallet is the first to offer Texans fans this service.”

Well, NFL teams entering the crypto space aren’t new. Last week, Socios.Com onboarded 13 NFL teams. With this deal, the fans will be able to get market-specific rewards for each franchise, focusing on fan engagement efforts and marketing activations.
