Pump.fun has expanded beyond its Solana roots by adding support for HyperEVM tokens, allowing users to trade the assets against USDC through its app.

The company announced the integration on August 26, saying users can trade HyperEVM tokens with near-zero fees and earn rewards through its referral and “callout” features. Pump.fun also described itself as the first app to bring HyperEVM trading to its platform, although that claim has not been independently verified.

Pump.fun adds HyperEVM support, expanding beyond Solana and tapping Hyperliquid’s $1.59B TVL market.
Integration enables near-zero‑fee USDC trading, leveraging Circle’s native USDC presence on HyperEVM.
Move tests Pump.fun’s multi‑chain strategy amid Hyperliquid’s booming $444M daily DEX volume.

The move gives Pump.fun access to a new pool of tokens while bringing HyperEVM assets into an interface best known for launching and trading Solana-based meme coins. For now, Pump.fun’s announcement focuses on trading existing HyperEVM tokens rather than launching new tokens on the network through its token-creation tools.

How HyperEVM trading works

HyperEVM is the Ethereum-compatible smart-contract environment within the Hyperliquid ecosystem. It operates alongside HyperCore, which handles Hyperliquid’s native spot and perpetual order books.

The two environments are connected, allowing assets to move between HyperCore and HyperEVM and interact with decentralized applications. HYPE is used to pay gas fees on HyperEVM.

Pump.fun has not disclosed which decentralized exchanges or liquidity sources handle orders routed through its application. It also has not explained whether its interface automatically handles the HYPE needed for network fees or whether users must hold HYPE separately.

The company said HyperEVM trading would carry a near-zero fee, but it did not publish a detailed fee schedule in its announcement.

USDC provides the trading pair

The expansion comes as USDC has become increasingly integrated into Hyperliquid’s infrastructure.

Circle launched native USDC and CCTP V2 on HyperEVM in September 2025. Circle later expanded USDC support across Hyperliquid, saying in May 2026 that USDC would serve as a key collateral and liquidity asset across the network’s markets.

Native USDC on HyperEVM can also move into HyperCore, connecting the smart-contract environment with Hyperliquid’s order-book trading system. The integration allows Pump.fun to offer USDC-denominated trading for HyperEVM assets using native USDC infrastructure already supported within the Hyperliquid ecosystem.

Hyperliquid’s growing trading activity

The integration comes as activity across Hyperliquid continues to grow.

DeFiLlama data showed Hyperliquid with about $1.59 billion in total value locked, while decentralized exchange volume reached roughly $444 million over 24 hours and $3.68 billion over seven days as of 10:00 AM UTC August 27. Perpetual futures activity was considerably larger, with about $8.86 billion in 24-hour volume and $76.12 billion over the week, according to the same data.

The network also recorded roughly 650,000 transactions, 22,600 active addresses and 5,700 new addresses during the daily period tracked by DeFiLlama and cited in this report.

USDC is particularly important to the ecosystem. DeFiLlama data showed stablecoin supply on Hyperliquid at about $6.75 billion, with USDC accounting for nearly 98% of that total.

Pump.fun’s move beyond Solana

The HyperEVM integration represents another step in Pump.fun’s evolution from a Solana-focused token launchpad into a broader crypto trading platform.

Pump.fun has also seen a recent rebound in activity. The platform generated $9.23 million in weekly revenue in early August, its highest weekly level since March, while cumulative revenue surpassed $1.22 billion.

Pump.fun became widely associated with meme coins through its low-friction token creation and bonding-curve trading model on Solana. HyperEVM works differently: tokens already deployed within Hyperliquid’s smart-contract environment can interact with decentralized applications and liquidity on the network.

The expansion gives HyperEVM-based projects another potential distribution channel through an established retail trading interface, while giving Pump.fun access to a market outside its core Solana ecosystem.

The platform has also recently promoted trading support for assets across several networks and platforms, indicating a broader push toward becoming a multi-chain trading destination.

What comes next

The immediate focus will be whether Pump.fun’s HyperEVM integration can attract meaningful trading volume and liquidity.

Important details remain unresolved, including which liquidity venues execute trades, how gas costs are handled within the app and whether every HyperEVM token can be traded automatically or must meet specific listing requirements.

For Hyperliquid, the integration could provide another distribution channel for its growing token ecosystem. For Pump.fun, it is a test of whether its trading model can extend beyond the Solana market without losing the low-cost, high-speed experience that has driven its growth.
