Galaxy Digital, a digital assets and AI infrastructure company, has launched a crypto-backed credit line that lets eligible GalaxyOne clients borrow against Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), and Solana (SOL) without selling their holdings.
According to the announcement published on Tuesday, the GalaxyOne Crypto Portfolio Line of Credit is initially available in 40 U.S. states. The product carries an 8.99% annual percentage rate (APR) and has no origination fee. Eligible clients can use BTC, ETH, SOL, and staked SOL as collateral through a single revolving credit line and receive funds in U.S. dollars or USDC.
Galaxy said funding is typically available instantly once the credit line is opened. The initial loan-to-value (LTV) ratio is 50%, with collateral values monitored as market prices change.
BTC, ETH, and SOL can be used as collateral
Galaxy said clients can combine BTC, ETH, SOL, and staked SOL as collateral rather than taking separate loans against individual assets.
Staked SOL can also be used as collateral without being unstaked, according to Galaxy. The company said this allows eligible clients to continue receiving applicable staking rewards while the asset backs the credit line.
Galaxy also said customer collateral is not rehypothecated, meaning it is not lent out or otherwise reused while securing the borrowing. The company said the credit line can give investors money for expenses, tax obligations, home improvements, real estate purchases, or investment opportunities. The idea is to provide access to liquidity without forcing investors to leave their crypto positions.
GalaxyOne expands its financial services
The credit line is part of GalaxyOne, which Galaxy launched in October 2025 as a platform combining crypto trading, U.S. stock and ETF trading, and cash products.
At launch, GalaxyOne also offered a 4% cash account, while eligible accredited investors could access Galaxy Premium Yield, an investment note offering 8% APY.
Galaxy expands its crypto lending business
Galaxy has also been expanding its lending activities beyond retail customers.
In July, the company launched Galaxy Onchain Financing Rate (GOFR), a managed lending program for institutions, high-net-worth individuals, and accredited investors. The program combines borrowing rates from several DeFi lending protocols and gives clients Galaxy as their main intermediary.
The new credit line enters a market that already includes crypto-backed lending products from other firms. Ledn offers Bitcoin-backed loans, while Coinbase allows eligible users to borrow against crypto without selling it. Nexo also offers a credit line that can use several crypto assets, including BTC and ETH, as collateral.
For GalaxyOne users, the new facility adds another way to access liquidity against crypto holdings. The credit line starts with an initial loan-to-value ratio of 50%, while collateral values are monitored as market prices change.
