Hoichi has launched Torii Gateway, a multi-blockchain bridge connecting over 60 networks and 1,500+ tokens to the Shibarium ecosystem. The community-led project announced the platform during an appearance on Shy Speaks podcast hosted by Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama.
The discussion took place this week, featuring Hoichi co-founders Stan and Samantha, with a focus on why the Gateway matters now. The Torii Gateway functions as a multi-network connector. It links chains like Ethereum, BaseChain, Arbitrum, and Shibarium. Hence, it enables wider access for users seeking flexibility in how they interact with crypto platforms.
Kusama highlighted the importance of this system, saying, “That’s why I think what you guys are building is actually pretty darn important in the larger scale of what Shibarium can be.”
Expanding Blockchain Access
Besides bridging networks, Hoichi aims to build an all-encompassing platform where newcomers can freely explore multiple chains. Consequently, they can choose their preferred platform while eventually finding Shibarium as their home. Stan compared the system to highways connecting countries, where assets and interactions move without barriers.
Samantha shared plans to bring non-EVM networks like Solana and Tron into the mix down the line. In addition, Hoichi is looking to roll out fiat on- and off-ramps, enhance rewards, and create a staking platform.
Strengthening Security with Fusion DCRM
The Torii’s design has put security as one of the highest priorities. The project uses Fusion DCRM technology, which has multi-signature, group-based encryption. This means that a hacked wallet cannot unlock liquidity or keys by itself.
Also, it’s worth noting that aggregating liquidity from various chains reduces the chance of disruptions from low activity on any single network. This two-pronged strategy helps Hoichi bring its vision to life making DeFi safe, simple, and accessible for everyone.
As of writing, Shiba Inu’s price is $0.000012, up 0.03%, with a daily volume of $163.48 million, according to CoinMarketCap.
With these improvements, one may consider Hoichi’s Torii Gateway for Shibarium. This might be because it enables the ecosystems to be bridged while ensuring security, usability, and scalability.
