Semler Scientific, the second U.S. publicly traded company to adopt Bitcoin as a treasury reserve asset, has expanded its total Bitcoin holdings to 4,636 BTC. The company purchased 187 BTC for $20 million in a month.

According to an 8K filing with the U.S. SEC on July 7, Semler Scientific acquired 187 Bitcoin for $20 million between June 5-July 2. The latest BTC purchased was made at an average price of $106,906 per Bitcoin.
Semler Scientific has issued and sold 4,116,735 shares of its common stock for net proceeds of nearly $156.6 million. This is part of the $500 million of common stock sales agreement to but Bitcoin.
Semler Scientific has increased its total Bitcoin holdings to 4,636 Bitcoins as the company continues to expand its Bitcoin holdings. These were acquired for an aggregate of $430.0 million at an average price of $92,753 per Bitcoin.
Semler Scientific director of Bitcoin strategy Joe Burnett took to X to reach out to the wide crypto community. He revealed that the company has achieved BTC yield of 29% YTD.
On June 20, Semler Scientific announced plans to buy at least 10,000 BTC by year-end 2025, 42,000 by 2026, and 105,000 by 2027. It also appointed Joe Burnett as director of Bitcoin strategy to manage its Bitcoin accumulation strategy.
Stock Price Performance
SMLR stock price closed 2.30% higher at $40.45 on Thursday, as per Yahoo Finance data. The company will use equity and debt financing and cash flows from operations to buy more Bitcoin.
At the time of writing, Semler Scientific stock fell nearly 1% in the premarket trading hours. However, the stock price has rallied 14% in a month.
BTC price pared earlier gains in the past 24 hours, with the price currently trading at $108,380. The 24-hour low and high are $108,217 and $109,731, respectively. Furthermore, the trading volume has increased by 34% in the last 24 hours, indicating a rise in interest among traders.
