Xrp Lawyer Dismisses 2026 Delay Rumors In Ripple Vs Sec Case

Rumors have resurfaced claiming the Ripple vs SEC lawsuit could extend until late 2026, sparking heated debate among the XRP community. However, crypto lawyer Bill Morgan has stepped in to calm fears, calling a delay “unlikely.”

In a recent post on X, Morgan said that the case would continue to drag on in case Judge Analisa Torres denies the most recent joint motion made by Ripple and the SEC. But he sees that as an “improbable outcome.”

He believes Judge Torres will likely take a common-sense approach by upholding the current summary judgment and penalties, rather than allowing the process to spiral into lengthy appeals.

Morgan previously pointed out that if the judge approves the motion for an indicative ruling, the case could be resolved within weeks. While he admits there are minor concerns about the motion, he still expects the judge to approve it, bringing the years-long lawsuit closer to its end.

Despite this, some experts remain cautious. A legal analyst known as Bale predicted the case could stretch until 2026 or even 2027, especially if the court rejects the latest filing. But that view hasn’t convinced Morgan or much of the crypto community.

Others speculate Judge Torres may already be preparing to close the case. With both sides showing willingness to settle, many believe the end is finally in sight. For now, the XRP community is watching closely, hoping for a final resolution sooner rather than later.
