Cz After India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’: We Condemn War, Always

Just past midnight on May 7, tensions between India and Pakistan took a sharp turn. India reportedly carried out an airstrike under a military campaign now being referred to as “Operation Sindoor”, marking a serious escalation in an already strained relationship between the two countries.

Sadyr Zhaparov, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, took to social media to express his government’s unease. He posted:

“We express our deep concern regarding the escalation of tensions between two friendly countries for us — India and Pakistan, both members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. We urge both sides to exercise maximum restraint, prevent further escalation of the conflict, and return to negotiations aimed at a peaceful resolution. The Kyrgyz Republic consistently advocates for stability, security, and respect for international law.”

Shortly after, Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) replied to Zhaparov’s post with a message of unity and hope. His statement stood out — not just for its timing, but for its broader vision:

“We hope everyone is safe in Pakistan and India. We condemn war. Let’s compete on economic growth and tech innovations that enhance lives and unite communities. We share one planet and belong to one species: human.”

At a time when the world feels increasingly divided, CZ’s words struck a chord, especially in a region that’s seen more than its fair share of conflict.

For now, both countries remain on edge. Diplomatic backchannels are reportedly active, but the road ahead is uncertain.
