Indian Gov. Supports Pi Coin Fact Checking by The Crypto Times

Over the past couple of days, some viral tweets about the Indian government supporting Pi Coin have been circulating on X, highlighting an article from the government website. These tweets have gained remarkable attention within the crypto community, spreading news among masses that the government is officially advocating for Pi Coin.

But are these tweets really legit and is the Indian government supporting Pi Network? Let’s find it out all in this fact checking article.

First, let’s talk about the authenticity of the article that has been linked in the circulating tweets. The article is originally posted in the Ministry of Ayush website – a ministry responsible for developing education, research and propagation of traditional and alternative medicine in India. This article explains Pi coin and its potential price movements in the next few years.

While the website is legit, it appears that the article is posted via a user-generated content (UGC) portal. By analyzing the website, it concludes that not only is the Pi Coin article posted there but it also has numerous other posts solely uploaded for building links. This platform allows users to feature articles despite being a government official website and is also completely separate from the Ministry.

False Intentions Behind Pi Coin Promotion

All these posts on X are falsely claiming that the article is published by government officials and it is supported by the Indian government. In actuality, it all are just posted by Pi coin promotional handles to spread misinformation. The Ministry of Ayush has nothing to do with the Pi Coin and any other content posted on its UGC portal.

Verify Data Before Trusting Source

Users are advised to verify data thoroughly before trusting the source. Social media platforms have now become a hotspot for spreading misinformation and allure users into believing something that is not true. In this case, users would need to cross check the official handle of Pi Network or of the Indian government body to ensure the authenticity of the news.

Although it would not take much time for a smart mind to conclude that the article is posted by a non-authoritative person with no connection to the Indian government. In addition, all the WriteUps on the portal also suggest that none of them are posted and overseen by any authoritative person from the Ministry of Ayush.

Verdict

The final verdict is that all these posts claiming the Indian government supporting Pi Coins are false. Nor the Ministry of Ayush or any other government bodies are directly or indirectly involved in promoting Pi Coin. It’s just a random user generated article taken out of context to claim it is published by the Indian government. government.
