Binance To Airdrop $3M BNB For Morocco Earthquake Victims

Binance Charity is planning to airdrop up to $3 million in BNB to Binance users living in areas affected by the recent earthquake in Morocco.

Users who complete Proof of Address (POA) before September 9, 2023, in Marrakesh-Safi Province, will be eligible to receive $100 worth of Binance Coin (BNB) directly in their Binance account.

Proof of Address displays the user’s residential address and is crucial for confirming the user’s identity to prevent fraudulent activities.

In response to the devastation caused by the recent earthquake in Morocco, #Binance Charity will airdrop up to $3 million to #Binance users living in areas affected by the tragedy.

We expect our efforts will reach around 70,000 users living in Morocco.https://t.co/TKjsw6djLK

Binance Charity understands that some users in the Morocco Earthquake Region may not have completed their Proof of Address (POA) verification yet.

Furthermore, for those who complete their POA verification between September 9, 2023, and September 30, 2023, Binance Charity will donate $25 worth of Binance Coin (BNB) directly to their Binance accounts.

This province has been heavily affected, and those who completed the proof of address process before this date will receive the reward.

Moreover, active users in Morocco, even if they are not in the earthquake-affected region, will also receive an airdrop of $10 worth of BNB each.

Approximately 70,000 Binance users residing in Morocco will benefit from these efforts. The funds will reach their users starting on September 12, 2023.

After natural disasters, traditional banks may not be available when people urgently need money for things like medical supplies and food.

Now, cryptocurrencies are becoming more popular for sending financial help to disaster victims. They’re quick, cheap, work across borders, and their transactions are easy to track.

The CEO of Binance, CZ, has shown his worry about the people in Morocco who were affected by the earthquake. He hopes that the donations from Binance can give them the help they urgently need.

Our hearts go out to the people in Morocco🇲🇦#Binance to donate $3,000,000 in #BNB to our users in Morocco🇲🇦

We standby our users in times of need. Stay strong. 🙏https://t.co/lQzLvhuuQ3

— CZ 🔶 BNB (@cz_binance) September 11, 2023

He said, “For Moroccan users who receive these donations but are unimpacted by the earthquake, we ask them to pass the funds on to those most in need.”

Binance Charity has set up a donation address that anyone can use to give money. All the donations sent to this address will be used to assist a trusted non-profit organization (the name of which will be revealed later) in assisting people who require help.

People can donate to the Emergency Earthquake Appeal using Binance Coin (BNB), Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), USD Coin (USDC), Tether (USDT), or Binance USD (BUSD).
