Metaverse platform Decentraland kicks off the much-hyped second annual Metaverse Fashion Week 2.0 held from March 28 – 31, 2023.
The first day of the Metaverse Fashion Week 2023 just commenced with an exciting lineup of events ready to take off intersecting the fashion world and metaverse realm.
Decentraland hosts the Metaverse Fashion Week 2.0 to demonstrate the potential of interoperability between open metaverses and push the boundaries of what digital fashion can mean.
Today at MFW23, popular fashion brand DUNDAS partners with digital fashion retailer DressX to show the hottest styles from Paris Fashion Week and deliver a new range of Wearables.
A cross-metaverse Wearable design competition is run by the AR metaverse platform “OVER” today in conjunction with Decentraland. The winners will be displayed at a four-day event in Milan, from March 28 to 31, on a hybrid AR/IRL catwalk.
Panels from 3D and Augmented Reality (AR) platform Threedium and lifestyle magazine Vogue Singapore are yet another highlight of MFW23 Day 1 in Decentraland.
Users can experience yoga and meditation sessions in the metaverse thanks to leading fashion and lifestyle brand Alo Yoga. The entire audience can follow along using 3 free yoga pose emotes Alo is gifting – the Triangle, Warrior, and Lotus pose.
Gemma A. Williams, the ambassador of MVFW Asia this year, will be hosting a panel discussion on the topic of Fashion Opera: Aesthetics In The Metaverse
You cannot miss the opening party hosted by wearable startup Gaian, powered by Limewire, featuring sets from Spottie Wifi, Allan Kingdom, Lil Bitcoin, Escape Plan, Billyracxx, and Georgia Sinclair.
Decentraland states: “Limewire will screen a brand-new music video from Soulja Boy. Spottie Wifi will perform his upcoming album. BAYC DJ duo Escape Plan will spin their new record with Dillon Francis. Avatar rapper Lil Bitcoin will bring hip-hop into the Metaverse like never before. Billyracxx will bring on a genre-bending performance, fresh off his Rolling Loud set.”
