The world’s tallest building located in Dubai, the mighty Burj Khalifa, is now available in the metaverse with users getting access to an immersive experience along with 360-degree views of Dubai city.
No VR hardware, including gloves, headsets, etc, is needed for the Burj Khalifa metaverse experience and it can be accessed just with a keyboard and a standard device.
In the demo launched by the event technology platform Eventcombo, virtual avatars can be seen exploring various parts of the building. Users can even use the elevators and wander through the hallways before entering the viewing deck, which offers realistic views of Dubai city.
Eventcombo noted “While the pandemic forced the world into isolation, it also led to the advancement and accelerated adoption of the metaverse. Although digital has become the new normal, the metaverse is facilitating physical and real-world-like interactions in digital spaces, to elevate experiences and bridge the real and virtual worlds.”
