The Sandbox in collaboration with INDEX GAME is bringing the Master 8 NFT Collection. The drop consists of 12 NFTs inspired by legends from Chinese martial arts. The collection will be live on May 6th, at 3 pm UTC.
The NFT collection celebrates a 5000-year historical Chinese culture featuring martial arts legends flexing their punches and strikes. With this collection, INDEX GAME intends to preserve the precious historical legacy of Kung Fu and start creating NFTs with this specific theme – Master 8.
These Eight Kung Fu Masters are legendary characters developed to advocate Chinese martial arts and enhance understanding of Kung Fu among the general public. These animated 3D characters are inspired by Hong Kong martial art novels.
Each master is uniquely designed with their characterized outfits, looks, and signature weapons. The fun element is that each master has distinct traits with a hint of magic and Kung Fu moves, competing to become the best Chinese fighter in the metaverse!
The Master 8 NFT collection includes eight warriors and four scenes or spaces with each having a different utility. The warriors are named as follows:
- The White Eyebrowed Monk
- GuanYu
- The Shaolin 18 Bronzemen
- Nezha
- Huang Feihong
- The One-Armed Swordsman
- The Maoshan Taoist Priest
- The Lady Master
The four scenes include Buddha Scene, Po Chi Lam Scene, Arena Scene, and Rural Scene. Every scene has its own significance.
For instance, the Buddha scene can only be accessed by gods, while the Po Chi Lam Scene is a medicine clinic. Arena Scene is where martial arts practitioners gather annually for the championship, and Rural Scene is an isolated hut at the top of the mountain.
