Bybit Donates $100,000 In Bitcoin To Unicef For Ukraine

As the Ukraine-Russia battle escalates, it poses a growing threat to the lives and wellness of the country’s 7.5 million children. The Singaporean cryptocurrency platform Bybit stands up in support of the humanitarian needs posed, by donating $100,000 equivalent in bitcoin to UNICEF.

The humanitarian needs multiply by the hour as the fighting intensifies. The donation of Bybit comes at a critical time for UNICEF, which will help UNICEF to scale up life-saving programs to ensure there is immediate help for children and families in need in Ukraine and neighboring countries.

Following its invasion of Ukraine, Russia has been subjected to a slew of economic sanctions aimed at isolating the country from the global financial system. And crypto is proving to be a lifeline in a war-torn country like Ukraine. 

Recently, major crypto exchanges have been at the forefront to show support to Ukraine via crypto donations. In the recent, Binance Charity, the non-profit charitable arm of Binance, announced a $2.5 million cryptocurrency donation to UNICEF.
