Uniswap Labs just had their latest hire, former spokesman of Barack Obama, Hari Sevugan, who will serve as their new communications chief.
Sevugan has already held senior positions for several politicians and leaders. As the new communications chief, he will be managing media affairs and relations with new and existing users at the Uniswap Labs.
Following the recruitment, Sevugan tweeted, “I’m excited to join the brilliant team at @Uniswap because they’re committed to making sure we build in a way that reaches crypto’s potential of giving more people ownership of their own financial futures and the value they create.”
Recently Uniswap labs and the whole digital finance system were under criticism for the lack of transparency, and the hire can help in tackling the issue.
Even after going through regulatory complications, the DeFi industry has crossed $200 billion in total value locked(TVL) and Sevugan will hold the responsibility to bring more awareness to the DeFi system overall.
Sevugan further added, “Crypto is opaque and intimidating to many outside of it. I want to help more people connect to it by making it more relatable and understandable.”
The new recruits can help in bringing more understanding about the Defi and digital finance industry to the users and make it easier for them to grasp information about the DeFi protocol.
