SRM Entertainment, Inc has formally renamed itself Tron Inc. to indicate its new interests in the TRON blockchain and its associated cryptocurrency, TRX.
As per the announcement, the company’s stock symbol will change to “TRON” on the Nasdaq exchange starting July 17, 2025. However, its CUSIP number, a unique stock identifier, will remain the same. SRM stock has surged 29.91% to $8.73, up $2.01, following the announcement.
This name change marks the company’s shift toward using TRON tokens as a central part of its business strategy. The market has reacted positively, with the company’s stock price rising since it announced this move. Tron Inc. now holds over 365 million TRX tokens, making it the largest public company holder of TRX in the world.
CEO Rich Miller said that the move towards this change is in favor of their mission to build long-term value and contribute to an accelerated, low-cost global payment system by leveraging the TRON network.
Aside from its blockchain focus, the company also designs and produces toys and souvenirs for major theme parks like Disney, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, and Six Flags, based on famous movies and franchises.
