The pioneering real-world assets (RWAs) tokenization platform, Ondo Finance has partnered with Pantera Capital to launch “Ondo Catalyst”, a $250 million initiative aimed at accelerating the tokenization of RWAs.
Providing tokenization service to a number of traditional players—including BlackRock, this initiative by Ondo Finance aims to solidify the tokenization trend by investing in projects that enhance on-chain capital markets. The VC firm Pantera Capital brings institutional credibility to the initiative with its track record of backing successful crypto ventures since 2013.
The move aligns with the increasing attention on the RWA sector, which is projected to reach $16 billion in market cap by 2030. Given that the sector has grown from merely $1.5 billion in 2018 to $120 billion, its rapid pace of expansion signals towards a brighter future presence.
Nathan Allman, CEO of Ondo Finance, emphasized the initiative’s role in reshaping capital markets, stating, “This is how we scale Wall Street 2.0—supporting forward-thinking teams and use cases, we’re accelerating the adoption of tokenized financial products and cultivating a diverse ecosystem that expands access, enhances utility, and fosters onchain innovation.”
“Pantera has backed winners in every crypto cycle, and we’re proud to support Ondo in the important work they’re doing,” adds Paul Veradittakit of Pantera Capital. “Tokenization of traditional financial assets is the largest shift in infrastructure since electronic trading, and Ondo is at the forefront of it with the right traction and partners. This initiative will prove critical for a modern, blockchain-based financial era.”
