Pi Network Warns Pioneers Of Scams Ahead Of Open Network

Pi Network recently issued a safety warning concerning Pioneers, urging them to remain vigilant against potential scams as the Open Network launch approaches on February 20, 2025.

In a recent post on X, the Pi Core Team said, “Please be careful of unaffiliated and unauthorized activities, some of which may be associated with fraudulent events and actions meant to defraud our users by their misappropriation and unauthorized use of Pi’s name and trademark.”

The team has emphasized that neither Pi Network nor its affiliates are associated with external parties claiming to represent Pi, offering related services, or demanding money from users.

As per the post, many fraudulent activities, including impersonations, scams, and misleading promises of monetary rewards, have been reported. Some bad actors claim to sell Pi or operate under multi-level marketing (MLM) schemes—these are unauthorized and against Pi Network’s principles.

The team has also urged that Pioneers should always verify information from official Pi Network channels and refer to the Pi Safety Center for guidance on protecting their Pi accounts and wallets.
