Breaking Bad actor Dean Norris has claimed that his X account was hacked to promote a scam memecoin.

Another day another hack in crypto space. Breaking Bad fame actor Dean Norris, fans better known him as ASAC Hank Schrader, claimed on Sunday that his X account was hacked to promote a fake memecoin. This was the second time in the last six months that his account was hacked, claimed the veteran actor. As the attackers gained control over Dean’s account, they promoted a fake cryptocurrency $DEAN in his name.

The hackers posted a picture of Dean and a tweet saying, I have decided to launch my own memecoin. Hacked also mentioned the contact address in this post.

As this post goes viral the memecoin’s market exploded to a whopping $7 million and then crashed 90% when Norris addressed it as a scam.

After all this intense drama Dean Norris looked angry and frustrated, he reacted the same as his character Hank Schrader in the Breaking Bad series.

After knowing he posted a video on X claiming that the memecoin was a scam. After this video, he also wrote some angry posts. It seems like he wanted to communicate to the scammers, “I am not in danger; I am the danger.” He expressed this sentiment in his posts.

“I WAS HACKED!!! ALL A FAKE SCAM!! THANKS http://TALENT2X.COM FOR FIXING PROMPTLY INCREDIBLE HOW MANY PEOPOE FELL FOR IT. THANKS, ASSHOLES ON REDDIT WHO CALLED ME ALL SORTS OF SHIT FOR SOMETHING I DIDN’T DO. GO FUCK YOURSELVES”

Dean also awares his fans that he rarely uses the X platform and doesn’t know about the hacks until he starts getting texts from his friends about the hack.

However, this is not the first time when Dean’s account has been hijacked. In September 2024 his account was hacked and used to scam his fans by promoting $SHRADER memecoin.

Besides all this the reaction of the X-force was hilarious. X flooded with numerous funny posts and comments on this incident. One of the users commented,” Wrong move! You should have joined them, demanded part of the supply, and pumped the token beyond the Blue Sky! It would have made more money”

Furthermore, some users compared his reaction to Dean with his character Hank and called him a badass. The posts and comments signify that all these Twitter dramas have now become a daily shop and a source of entertainment for users.

In the crypto industry, these fake scams have been normalized in recent times. In every few days, some celebrity’s account gets hacked to promote some crypto, which is not right for the reputation of the crypto market. Furthermore, distinguishing between real and fake celebrity coins is challenging nowadays.
