Gambhir posted a video advertisement for CoinDCX on his twitter profile on Monday where he was seen promoting crypto education for the Indian audiences. As a sportsperson with an illustrious career, Gambhir’s endorsement of a crypto exchange comes amid a time of uncertainty for crypto industry in India.
As a brand ambassador of CoinDCX, Gambhir is the celebrity face of their ”Learn Karo. Crypto Karo” campaign that focusses on increasing crypto awareness in India and dispel several myths associated with the industry. The advertisement by Gambhir comes at a time when there are uncertainties related to crypto regulations in India and talks that the Indian government might ban cryptocurrencies altogether.
Along with the video, he also posted on X, that during his cricketing career he has “adapted learning to get confidence” and that “confidence and learning made him successful” in cricket. He also added that before making any decision, one first needs confidence and confidence comes from knowledge about the particular subject.
Gambhir’s endorsement of CoinDCX comes after a long dry spell of Indian celebrities avoiding crypto related marketing campaigns and advertisements especially after the Indian government announced a 30% tax on crypto earnings.
Popular former Indian fast bowler Irfan Pathan also posted the tweet of Gambhir and endorsed CoinDCX in his tweet on X.
