Michael Saylor’s MicroStrategy Buys 5,050 More Bitcoin

Michael Saylor, CEO of Microstrategy announced that the firm purchased an additional 5,050 bitcoin for about $242.9 million in cash. They bought it in cash at an average price of approximately $48,099 per bitcoin including all taxes and expenses.

Microstrategy now holds 114,042 BTC, in which all the Bitcoin acquired on time interval. The total valuation of 114,042 BTC is $5.1 billion, as per today’s market price. The firm spent $3.16 billion on this entire acquisition process, and its current value is around $5.1 billion, which is a 42% gain. 

Since making several major purchases in the last few months, the company has continuously bought bitcoin for a smaller amount of time. The average price of the total Bitcoin purchase is $27,713 per bitcoin. The current purchase’s average price shows that the company had completed this purchase before the bitcoin price fall.

Last month, The firm had purchased 3,907 BTC for $177 million. This purchase’s average price for a single bitcoin was $45,294.
