The Blockchain for Good Alliance (BGA), a non-profit initiative founded by Bybit, and the United Nations Development Programme’s Alternative Finance Lab (UNDP AltFinLab) are jointly organizing the Blockchain Impact Forum, a two-day global event focused on blockchain’s role in advancing sustainable development. The forum will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark, on November 4–5, 2025.
According to the organizers, the forum aims to bring together policymakers, UN officials, and blockchain innovators to explore how distributed-ledger technologies can support the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Day 1 will be an invite-only session featuring high-level discussions, panels, and fireside chats with regulators, development agencies, and industry leaders. Insights gathered from these sessions will contribute to BGA’s inaugural Blockchain Impact Report, which is expected to outline key frameworks for “blockchain for social good.”
Open Sessions and Awards
Day 2 will open to the public at T13 Nordhavn, highlighting projects from the BGA incubation program and the SDG Blockchain Accelerator. The day will conclude with the Blockchain for Good Awards 2025, recognizing innovators using blockchain to tackle real-world challenges.
Sponsors for the event include Bybit EU, GSR Foundation, Xion Foundation, Abu Dhabi Blockchain Center, and Mantle Network, with FLock.io, Hetu Protocol, and Masverse as supporting partners.
Ben Zhou, CEO of Bybit and initiator of BGA, said the initiative represents a bridge between technology and policy. He said, “Blockchain for Good is not just an idea; it’s a systems-level shift building bridges between technologists, governments, and communities to achieve the SDGs.”
The Blockchain Impact Forum marks one of the first large-scale partnerships between a major crypto-backed non-profit and a UN development initiative, positioning blockchain as a potential driver of transparent, scalable impact solutions.
