WhiteBIT TR, a major cryptocurrency exchange in Turkey, has partnered with Misyan Bank, Turkey’s first digital bank, to bring cryptocurrency services to European investors. This is part of WhiteBIT TR’s broader strategy to grow its global presence.
MisyonTech, Misyon Bank’s digital asset arm, will work with WhiteBIT TR to offer major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), USDC, USDT, and Avalanche (AVAX) on Turkey’s first bank-backed crypto platform. This platform also has advanced features for digital token management.
At the partnership signing, Emre Yetişkin, the chairman of WhiteBIT TR, praised Misyon Bank for being the first bank in Turkey authorized to offer both crypto custody and exchange services. He also highlighted Turkey’s leadership in the crypto market, particularly in stablecoin trading.
WhiteBIT TR has been growing rapidly. Yetişkin mentioned that the exchange offers over 330 cryptocurrencies and 440 trading pairs globally, with more than 100,000 users in Turkey in just six months since launching in 2022.
Muhammet Cerit, CEO of MisyonTech, shared, “Turkey ranks first in Europe, second in MENA, and third in the world in terms of crypto asset ownership.”
This year, MisyonTech has made major strides in expanding its reach, forming partnerships in 25 countries across Africa and the Middle East. The deal with WhiteBIT TR is the first step in their plan to connect with individual investors in Europe.
Cerit highlighted that Turkey’s initial digital asset regulations have boosted its role as a crypto investment hub. With new regulations expected in early 2025, investor confidence is set to grow. MisyonTech’s platform is ready to handle the increasing demand for crypto services, including storage and trading.
