Hacker Impersonating Matt Huang Steals $130k in Fake Blast Scam

A hacker impersonating Paradigm co-founder Matt Huang has stolen over $130k in a phishing scam by promoting fake invite codes for the newly announced layer 2 – Blast.

While Blast is gaining attention from the crypto community, hackers have also become active to scam people and benefit from the wide attention.

This hacker with an extremely matching X (Twitter) profile to the real Matt Huang, has managed to scam a number of users while offering fake invite codes to join the early access program for Blast.

有受害人向我们提交了报告,存在欺诈者冒充 @matthuang 推广钓鱼链接 blast.invie[.]io 的情况,目前已产生价值超过13万美元的资金损失。

The blockchain analysis company, Bitrace shared a post and warned users about the phishing contract. A victim of the phishing reported to Bitrace and said that the scammer had managed to steal over $130 million through this hack.

However, what comes to attention is that the fake account and tweet are still there at the top comment on the official Blast announcement post. The Blast team has not even considered clarifying or warned against anything relating.
