MetaMask Integrates Brazilian Payment System Pix Via MoonPay

Crypto wallet MetaMask has announced the integration of the Brazilian payment system Pix for the purchase of cryptocurrencies in Brazilian Real via the payment infrastructure company MoonPay.

People in Brazil can buy tokens on Ethereum, Polygon, Binance Smart Chain, Avalanche C-Chain and Celo through the MetaMask Mobile app, thanks to the integration of Pix, which was launched by the Brazilian Central Bank (BCB).

“Instead of using an exchange, users can instantly buy cryptocurrencies directly on MetaMask to explore Web3” reads the post on Consensys’ official website.

The service can also be accessed via the MetaMask extension for desktop browsers like Google Chrome.

Metamask partnered with MoonPay in April to allow users to buy ETH and other ERC-20 tokens using mainstream payment methods.
