In a Google search, Ripple (XEP) outperforms Shiba Inu (SHIB). On the other hand, Shiba Inu receives more social mentions than XRP, still both have an almost equal amount of engagement.
The most vibrant and reputable communities in the cryptocurrency space are Ripple and Shiba Inu. Undoubtedly, both of these altcoins are the most well-known ones, but it turns out that Ripple (and XRP) consistently surpasses Shiba Inu (and SHIB) in one particular metric.
According to Google Trends, the one-year graph looks as below, including comparing Ripple, XRP, Shiba Inu, and SHIB:
The graph demonstrates that Ripple and XRP are performing better than SHIB and Shiba Inu, even though, on an individual basis, Shiba Inu appears to be performing slightly better than Ripple.
Shiba Inu is a breed of dog, so it is obvious that it is impossible to distinguish the search volume for it from that for cryptocurrencies. However, Shiba Ina has constantly outperformed both Ripple and XRP as search terms in the first quarter.
Another matrix is social mentions. It tracks the count with which a cryptocurrency is mentioned on different social media networks, including Facebook, Instagram, X, and others.
XRP has been mentioned 3186 times, while Shiba Inu was mentioned around 7609 times. Yet both received the same engagement.
