Is Hyden Davis Wanted By Interpol? Fact Check

Multiple tweets are circulating alleging that Hayden Davis, the controversial individual behind the LIBRA and MELANIA tokens, is wanted by Interpol. However, a fact-check demonstrates that these statements are not actually true.

On March 13, 2025, an Argentine lawyer, Gregorio Dalbón, formally requested that Argentina issue an Interpol Red Notice for Davis.

Allegations of financial fraud connected to cryptocurrency frauds, including the LIBRA memecoin, which had ties to the political circle of Argentina government, with President Javier Milei, at its centre as he also once promoted it.

The sudden downfall of the coin, and the political scandal behind it prompted lawyers to request Interpol’s help in the case.

However, Interpol has not yet issued a Red Notice for Hayden Davis. A Red Notice is not an arrest warrant; it is a request for law enforcement agencies worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest someone pending extradition. Since the request is still being processed within Argentina’s legal system, Davis is not officially wanted by Interpol at this time.

Several tweets from crypto investigative accounts like Bubblemaps, TheHolyCoins, and Match Systems claim that Hayden Davis is already on an Interpol notice, referring to him as “Interpol-Wanted Hayden Davis.”

These tweets appear to have exaggerated or misinterpreted the legal developments. Some legal experts and commentators had called for Interpol to act, but this does not mean action has already been taken.

Blockchain investigators recently linked Davis to the new $WOLF token, which reached a $40M market cap before an alleged “rug pull.” This further fueled online speculation that Interpol was already after him.

In reality, Davis remains under investigation, and while authorities in Argentina are pushing for Interpol to issue a Red Notice, it has not been approved or enforced yet.

Hayden Davis is not currently listed as sought by Interpol. The assertion that is making the rounds on social media is false. Despite the current legal processes, Interpol has not formally taken any action against him.
