Has Pi Network extended KYC grace period till March 15? A Fact Check

A few tweets recently sparked discussions in the Pi Network community about a possible extension of the grace period for KYC verification. Some users on Twitter have claimed that the deadline has been pushed to March 14, 2025, giving Pioneers more time to complete their Mainnet Checklist. But is this claim true?

A Twitter user named Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis, with around 34K followers, tweeted, “Grace Period Extended! Good news, Pioneers! The Grace Period has been extended until March 14, 2025. You have more time to complete your Mainnet Checklist and secure your Pi. Don’t wait—act now!” Along with the tweet, he also shared an image stating the same.

Another Twitter user, Dr. Chengdiao Fan, with around 11K followers, shared something similar: “BREAKING PI NEWS: The Pi Network Grace Period is now extended until Pi Day (March 14, 2025). Pi Day marks the true Open Mainnet launch!” He, too, attached a photo with a countdown of 14 days.

At first glance, this seems like great news for Pi users who are yet to complete their KYC. But is it true?

A closer look at the photos in these tweets raises some doubts. The images appear slightly off, as if they were altered or morphed. Additionally, when cross-verified with official sources, there’s no mention of any such extension.

Last night, The Crypto Times reported that the actual KYC deadline remains February 28, 2025. According to their report and official sources, users have until today to complete their verification.

For those who don’t know, KYC (Know Your Customer) is an important process in Pi Network to make sure all users are real people and not fake or duplicate accounts. Completing KYC is necessary to access and transfer Pi on the Mainnet, which officially launched on February 20, 2025.

Even a quick Google search still shows February 28 as the deadline, with no updates about an extension. This makes the viral tweets look suspicious. Just because someone with a lot of followers says something on social media doesn’t mean it’s true.

So, what’s the final word? The claim that Pi Network has extended its KYC grace period is false. The deadline is still February 28, so users should be careful about believing everything they see online without checking official sources.
