KyberSwap Hacker Considers “Potential Treaty” If Not Threatened

The hacker behind KyberSwap’s $46 million exploit last week has sent a message considering sharing plans for a potential settlement.

The message encoded in an Ethereum transaction was sent to KyberSwap DAO’s multisig wallet on November 28. Hacker said that they have prepared a statement regarding a potential treaty, which will be published on November 30.

While the hacker was willing to negotiate with the team, the KyberSwap team mostly threatened and gave hostile threats with “general unfriendliness,” reads the message. The settlement plan that is prepared shall be rescheduled further if the team continues sending harsh messages, it reads.

“Under the assumption that I am treated with further hostility, we can reschedule for a later date, when we all feel more civil. You need only say the word. If not, we proceed as planned on Nov. 30,” said the hacker.

KyberSwap was exploited for $46 million on November 23, which significantly affected the DEX aggregator platform, with its TVL dropping over 70% within hours. The team later offered a 10% bounty to the hacker and asked him to return funds to avoid any legal action. However, the deadline has passed, and the hacker did not follow the team’s suggestion.
