A famous group of four girl singers from South Korea, Blackpink, is known for their achievements in setting records and is now coming into the metaverse through “BLACKPINK THE PALACE” – a dedicated fan hub on Roblox.
The Blackpink Roblox theme, set to launch on August 25, has been developed by British studio Karta. After the launch, within 24 hours, the fans who visit the game will gain a unique badge for their Roblox profile.
The sensational K-pop group was the headliner for Coachella, which occurred early this year in California, and now they are stepping into the metaverse with BLACKPINK THE PALACE. The fans, referred to as Blinks, can enjoy their music and gather to recreate their renowned dance moves in interactive experiences.
In “BLACKPINK THE PALACE,” the Roblox fan club will be able to take photos with the virtual avatars of group members, Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé. Furthermore, fans can purchase a series of costumes and emoticons for their own avatars.
Fans can enhance their in-game items, such as a hammer-like tool called a “lightstick” for smashing crystals, similar to the light-up trinkets that fans carry at concerts. Throughout the year, the place will be updated with a series of challenges that will reward the players with Robux, Roblox’s in-game currency.
