Top NFT collection Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) announces the skill-based mint gaming experience “Dookey Dash” where users attempt to go as far as possible as the game progresses in difficulty with the use of Sewer Passes.
A free claim for Sewer Pass NFTs will become available to BAYC/MAYC holders on January 17 but they will be responsible for covering their own gas fees. They will be able to participate in the Dookey Dash multi-week interactive mint game which starts on January 18 and ends on February 8.
Last month, BAYC teased an update on “The Trial Of Jimmy The Monkey,” detailing these events. It was noted that holders of BAYC or MAYC NFTs who simultaneously hold a Bored Ape Kennel Club (BAKC) are in separate tiers.
Users can obtain a higher-tiered Sewer Pass by combining their BAYC or MAYC with a BAKC. The holders can choose which Sewer Pass to use before beginning a run in Dookey Dash if their wallet contains more than one Sewer Pass.
Even though only members of the BAYC community are qualified to participate, anyone with a Sewer Pass NFT purchased through a secondary sale is welcome to partake in the event.
By the time Dookey Dash and Sewer Pass claim concludes on February 8, 2023, the user must still have the same Sewer Pass in the wallet they used to play in order for it to reflect the score received.
Until February 15, 2023, users must still hold their Sewer Pass. After playing and earning a score higher than 0, the Sewer Pass will then be qualified to change into a new item into what Gary the Dog Prophet calls a “power source.”
“The number of Sewer Pass transformations will be determined by the number of Sewer Pass and wallet combinations that are eligible to transform with a maximum of 30,000,” the announcement notes.
Sewer Passes that have a score of 0 in their wallets or did not take part in Dookey Dash are not eligible to transform. The Sewer Pass tiers determine the score’s bonus percentage.
BAYC stated “Your score will be based on what you collect in the sewer, the obstacles you destroy, and how long you survive. The validated Sewer Pass with the highest score will be eligible to transform into the ultimate… whatever they’re called.”
