Automobile manufacturer MG Motors is going to launch its own metaverse called MGverse to provide a virtual immersive experience to its customers and shareholders.
The MGverse features five different experience centers. Customers will be able to experience a virtual car buying experience with a 3D avatar.
“MGverse is a step forward where users can interact with visualized data, just like in the real world,” said Gaurav Gupta, the Chief Commercial Officer of MG Motors India.
“MGverse is our vision for creating our Metaverse, in which we and our partners will constantly explore, innovate, improvise, and develop new solutions to consistently enhance the customer experience in the future,” Gupta said.
Customers will also be able to purchase NFTs in the NFT Gallery and play racing games in the Gaming Arena of the MGverse.
Customers will also be able to visit a car museum and connect with others in the Car Club Zone.
A knowledge center in the MGverse will house opportunities to upskill and attend virtual training sessions for employees and partners.
The platform is being built zone-by-zone and will be ready to offer virtual experiences to customers by the festive season this year, says MG.
The platform will be accessible via mobile phones as well as other web browsers. The company also intends to make a similar experience available for VR headsets.
The MGverse is an attempt by the company to stay updated with the times and strengthen its relationship with the new generation.
