The anonymous founder of the memecoin Shiba Inu has disappeared from social media, deleting all his tweets as well as blogs on Medium.
The founder deleted all his posts exactly a year after his last medium blog post.
Going by the pseudonym Ryoshi, the founder has previously mentioned in a blog post (now deleted), “I have said from the beginning, I am a nobody, I am not important. The efforts to unmask my “identity” even if successful would be underwhelming. I am just some guy of no consequence tapping at a keyboard and I am replaceable. I am Ryoshi.”
The founder had also mentioned his intention of someday disappearing in the first Shiba Inu blog post stating, “I am not important, and one day I will be gone without notice. Take the SHIBA and journey upwards frens.”
Shiba Inu’s lead developer Shytoshi Kusama has written a blog post named, ‘TO RYOSHI: A Special Shib Memorial Day’ since his disappearance.
The developer mulls on the reason for Ryoshi’s disappearance and tells the Shib Army how they should work together towards achieving ‘Ryoshi’s vision and realizing global decentralization’.
Developer Shytoshi also recalls that Ryoshi’s vision is “Shib, Leash, Bone, Treat, ShibaSwap, Shi, Shibarium. Note also the concept of LOCAL Shib areas (meetups) such as we see in ShibaZone, and eventually Shibacon. To me, these latter two aspects are part of our growth and all of our other projects support or utilize one or more of the above.”
The developer ends the blog post by promising to continue development and grow further on the path laid out by their founder.
The breakout of this news did not negatively impact the price of Shiba Inu. Infact, the memecoin has gained about 3.1% in the past 24 hours and reached a high of $0.00001229. Shiba Inu is currently trading at around $0.00001186.
