Ukrainian Minister Mykhailo Fedorov Thanks Crypto On Easter

The ‘Aid for Ukraine’ has become a source of support to rebuild Ukraine from the pangs of war. Mykhailo Fedorov, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine shared his thanking note on Twitter stating “Crypto for good” on the day of Easter.

Only a few weeks after the declaration of the war between Russia and Ukraine, the government of Ukraine has been quick to shake hands with crypto.

With the help of crypto exchange FTX, staking platform Everstake and Ukraine’s Kuna exchange, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine launched the official “Aid For Ukraine” website to raise funds in crypto.

With over $60 million contributed till now, the initiative is helping the territory defense units of Mykolaiv with Ford Ranger Pickup or the armed forces with Pulsar thermal imagers and military clothing and now further donations are used to support the frontline military with ballistic plates for bulletproof vests.

The Ukrainian government had spent half of more than $100 million in crypto fundraising as of March 19. Freedom has always been the bedrock of the crypto community and Ukraine is fighting for its freedom against imperialism with the help of the community.

The country has been quick to embrace cryptocurrencies as Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine also recognized the power of the decentralized economy. He officiated the “Law on Virtual Assets” and legalized crypto in the country.
