Yuga Labs Reimburses Gas Fees for Failed Otherside Transactions

The Otherside Metaverse and BAYC creator Yuga Labs completed processing the reimbursement for the gas fees that some of the users lost during the Otherdeed NFT transactions.

According to Etherscan data, Yuga Labs spent a total of 90.57 ETH, approximately $265,000 on 640 refunds. The biggest individual refund was 2.6 ETH, approximately $7500.

To claim your refund go to Etherscan and type in your wallet address into the search bar. When you click on ‘Internal Txns’ (the second tab), you’ll find your Otherside gas fee refund.

Token MultiSender dapp was hired by Yuga Labs to handle all refunds. MultiSender does not require wallets to interact with or confirm a contract before receiving a payment so in turn it reduces scams.

If the user has more than one eligible transaction for a refund, they will be pooled into a single refund.

Scammers will undoubtedly exploit this opportunity. As a result, Yuga Labs advises everyone to exercise caution and avoid interacting with any questionable tokens in their wallet. Clicking on them, or even attempting to delete them, may risk your assets.

Yuga Labs promised the refund after the Otherside mint event occured. Otherside generated over $561 million in sales from the Otherdeed NFT mint but users had to pay over $100M in gas fees in total.
