BNB Chain’s paid messaging platform ReachMe has officially shut down, according to a notice on its website. The platform confirmed that all operations have ceased and that user data has been securely deleted in accordance with its privacy policy. No further transactions or message exchanges are possible.
“After careful consideration, we have decided to discontinue our service,” the ReachMe team stated.

The service gained attention earlier this year after Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) began using it to manage inbound communications, charging users a small BNB fee to send him direct messages.
In February, Zhao introduced a “Pay to Reach” feature that allowed anyone to contact him for 0.2 BNB per message, a steep increase from the initial 0.04 BNB after an influx of spam requests.
The platform’s closure highlights the challenges facing blockchain-based messaging experiments. Despite initial attention, ReachMe failed to sustain long-term user engagement.
Its demise shows the volatility of Web3 social applications, where monetization models often fail to balance accessibility with utility.
For BNB Chain, the shutdown ends one of its more experimental ventures. ReachMe’s short lifespan underscores that not every token-based idea achieves lasting adoption.
