Tether has minted another one billion USDT on the Tron blockchain today with no gas fee. The new mint pushes the total USDT supply on Tron to around 82.69 billion, giving Tron close to half of the net USDT in circulation. This makes Tron the leading network for USDT.
The transaction data from Arkham Intelligence shows the details under the referenced hash. The minted tokens remain in reserve with Tether and are not yet in active use.

Tether has minted around 23 billion USDT on Tron in 2025 alone, with over 8 billion USDT out of this being minted since June 1 2025. In total, Tron network now holds 82.6 billion USDT out of the total 164.5 billion USDT in circulation as of today. This makes it the leading network for USDT followed by Ethereum, which holds around 79.8 billion USDT.
“USDT on TRON has become the preferred choice for millions of users around the world because it is fast, stable, and accessible,” said Justin Sun, Founder of Tron. “The focus remains on delivering real world utility and building strong network effects that make TRON the leading platform for stablecoin transactions.”
Tron now handles record high network activity. In one week, it processed over 60 million transactions, making it the third busiest blockchain after Solana and Base. This rise is linked to more people using USDT on Tron, given its low-fee and high-speed transaction features.
