PumpFun has gained major traction in recent months as a meme coin launchpad. The platform letting anyone create and trade meme tokens quickly and easily. The platform has become a hub for viral token launches, sometimes seeing rapid price pumps before tokens crash, a process some call “pump and dump.”

Additionally, the founder of Pumpfun, Alon, was suspended from X just hours after jokingly claiming the platform may have “accidentally innovated too hard.”

Crypto influencer Mary has shared that this may be tied to a strange situation, “Liquidity Harvesting 2.0,” where funds seemed to vanish from users’ wallets and reappear in wallets.

Things got out of hand quickly when users began calling PumpFun the “Slot Machine of DeFi.” This nickname reportedly grabbed the attention of regulators and X’s policy team. At the same time, there were claims that PumpFun was building a new feature called AutoRug. This tool would automatically launch a meme coin and then instantly shut it down.

It’s still unclear why the account was suspended. As of now, PumpFun is still active on its website and through other channels. However, the loss of its main social media presence may slow down engagement and visibility.
