Recently, a TikTok influencer with 40,000 followers was kidnapped in France. This shocking incident occurred at late Friday night. The 26-year-old man was abducted as he returned to his home in Juvisy-sur-Orge, a suburb south of Paris, by four assailants who forced him into a stolen Clio car.

The kidnappers took him and asked for €50,000 in cryptocurrency as ransom. But when they found out he didn’t have that much money, the kidnappers have released him on Saturday, after he showed them that he had a low balance, according to Europe 1 report.

This event has worried many because it shows the dangers for influencers and traders in the crypto world, where being visible online can attract trouble. The case is now with France’s special crime unit, which is looking into a rise in crypto-related kidnappings. The French authorities are trying to figure out that how the kidnappers came to know about the trader.

The attackers used a stolen car and planned the crime carefully, which suggests they targeted him because of his online presence. After the incident, some people feel sorry for him, while others warns that one should be careful about showing off the wealth on the social media.
