Today, there’s been a lot of talk in the crypto world about a mysterious whale. According to PeckShield Alert, this whale just moved a huge amount of 860 XAUT from FTX and around 2,000 ETH from Alameda, which is worth an incredible $8.3 million—into Wintermute.
PeckShield Alert reports an address (0x97….e5c), controlled by an anonymous trader transferred 860 XAUt with around $2 million, from FTX to Wintermute today.
Another trader (0xf….713), from Alameda, transferred a whopping 2,000 ETH which is worth around $6.3 million to Wintermute in one transaction.
The transaction shows that it transferred another 27.71 ETH which is worth $86,110 to Wintermute’s address (0x1….150).
These large transactions involving 860 XAUT and 2,000 ETH worth $8.3 million are significant in the crypto world. The movement of such sums to Wintermute indicates strategic trading or investment.
Wintermute, known for its market-making activities, likely benefits from liquidity provided by these transactions, possibly hinting at larger market movements.
