Lazarus Group Moves $1.2 Million In Bitcoin

The elusive Lazarus group of North Korea has been reported to have moved $1.2 million worth in Bitcoin. This is one of the group’s biggest crypto transactions so far.

This raises mayhem concerning their ever-changing strategies and burgeoning crypto currency.

According to the analysis firm Arkham, Lazarus group received the funds in two instalments and then immediately sent some to another group wallet. They employed a coin tumbler to hide the source of money.

This is simply one more chapter in Lazarus’s lengthy story of crypto robberies. They are reported to have about $79 million in crypto, predominantly Bitcoin.

2023 witnessed one-third of all crypto thefts orchestrated by North Korean hackers, including Lazarus, who managed to steal over $600 million.

Experts are studying the actions of Lazarus in order to design countermeasures against future attacks. According to Recorded Future, they stole over $3 billion in crypto in the last three years alone.

As Lazarus continues to thrive, the complexity of their operations and actual problem in curbing them becomes apparent.
