India’s financial minister announced that discussions are underway on the global framework to regulate crypto assets, adding that without the cooperation of all the countries, cryptocurrencies could not be regulated efficiently.
At an event in the financial capital of Mumbai, Nirmala Sitharaman said, “India’s (G20) presidency has put on the table key issues related to regulating or understanding that there should be a framework for handling issues related to crypto assets.”
“Active discussions are happening,” she added.
