Ethereum Core developers confirm that the Shapella network upgrade will activate on the Ethereum network at epoch 194048, scheduled on “April 12, 2023, 22:27:35 UTC.” The Shapella upgrade combines Shanghai, Capella, and the Engine API.

Once the client teams swiftly agreed on April 12 as the date for the 157th AllCoreDevs Execution Layer meeting, the Shapella upgrade was slated for mainnet activation. The Ethereum Bug Bounty for Shapella vulnerabilities has been doubled from now until April 5th.
