Samsung Launches Blockchain-Based Knox Matrix

Tech giant Samsung launched the Samsung Knox Matrix which will feature a private blockchain system, in contrast to its current Knox security solution, to help keep your smart home ecosystem more secure.

With the new security feature, your connected devices will increase security through multi-layered mutual monitoring, functioning as the user’s own private blockchain system operates.

This technology to safeguard Galaxy smartphones, TVs, appliances, and more was unveiled by Samsung today at the Samsung Developer Conference.

The new technology, according to Samsung, will make login easier and safeguard against illegal access. Credentials will be shared device-to-device to ensure security and protect sensitive information.

Unfortunately, the firm did not go into great detail about the technical aspects, thus it is unclear what information would be transferred between devices to guarantee security.

Samsung did state that a variety of gadgets, including cell phones, TVs, and even things like air conditioners, will be compatible with Knox Matrix.

The company stated, “Stay tuned to learn more about Samsung Knox Matrix and its security approach designed for today’s connected world.“
