The NBA Top Shot creator Dapper Labs has suspended accounts with connections to Russia citing the EU tightening its sanctions.
According to the announcement, Dapper Labs has not closed the accounts, and individuals affected by this suspension can still access and view their NFTs.
Any NFT that an affected user previously purchased still belongs to that user, despite the new restrictions. Any Moments and Dapper Balance that the user possesses remains theirs’ only.
A few days back, the EU tightened its sanctions on Russia amid the war against Ukraine by banning all crypto asset wallets, accounts, or custody services, irrespective of the wallet amount.
Dapper suspended the Russian-linked accounts from the purchase, sale, or gifting of any moment across all Dapper Sports such as UFC Strike, NBA Top Shot, and NFL All Day.
Any withdrawals from the account and Dapper balance purchases are also restricted following this move by Dapper Labs.
