Crypto exchange Huobi Global has announced the suspension of derivatives trading in New Zealand. The new restrictions on derivatives offers are in response to local regulations.
Users in New Zealand can no longer access derivatives trading services beginning August 23. On the same day, Huobi Global will no longer accept users with New Zealand Know Your Customer-verified locations, as well as IP addresses from the region.
The notice titled “Restriction Schedule of New Zealand User Accounts for Derivative Trading” confirmed that services coin-margined futures, coin-margined swaps, Tether [USDT]-margined contracts, options, and any exchange-traded products [ETP] to New Zealand-based users would be suspended.
