One of the earliest crypto artists to release NFTs on the Nifty Gateway platform, XCOPY, is back on the platform with a new NFT collection titled ‘MAX PAIN and Frens.’ This also marks the one-year anniversary of XCOPY’s last drop on Nifty Gateway.
The collection is “inspired by the chaos, adrenaline, and risk in this space” according to XCOPY.
The collection consists of multiple editions of NFTs. First one is ‘MAX PAIN’, an open edition NFT, meaning the sale is open to all. It is priced at 1ETH. The sale will be accessible today between 6.30-6.40 PM EST. Users can purchase multiple copies if they want to.
Next is the ‘WASTER’ NFT available in an edition of 6 in the ranked auction format. In a ranked auction, bidders can see the rank of their bids. Each WASTER edition will have its own unique trait. The auction will be accessible between 4.30-5.00 PM EST.
The ‘GOURMET SPICY’ NFT, which is available in 24 editions, is a drawing, unlike the other GIF NFTs. It is priced at $1. The artwork will be accessible between 4.30-5.00 PM EST.
Then there’s the ‘DAMAGER LUXE’ NFT with 12 editions. Also available in the ranked auction format in the same time frame as Gourmet Spicy and Waster NFTs.
The MAX PAIN and Frens collection also comes with a twist. There is a subset of the collection titled ‘Traitors Redemption’ which comes about with many surprises.
If the user burns two ‘Afterburn’ pieces, it will allow them to purchase open editions of ‘DAMAGER’, ‘GUZZLER RED’, or ‘REACHBACK’ NFTs. This sale is going to open between 5.30-6.00 PM EST. All of these 3 NFTs are priced at $1 EACH.
Afterburn NFT dropped by XCOPY last year is sold out in the Nifty Gateway platform but is now available in OpenSea as its secondary marketplace.
Owning multiple sets of two Afterburn NFTs, will allow the user to buy multiple open editions of this new drop equal to the number of sets they own.
If the user burns one Afterburn NFT, they’ll be able to enter a drawing for ‘Afterburn Green’ NFT available in an edition of 100. If the user isn’t picked for the draw, they will not be charged or lose their Afterburn NFT. This sale will be available between 3.30-4.00 PM EST.
Users can pay with a credit or debit card or use pre-pay ETH from your external wallet/ Gemini account. One edition of the ‘MAX PAIN’ NFT has been reserved by XCOPY and the Nifty Gateway team for a Twitter Giveaway.
The preview of XCOPY’s NFT drop was revealed in the latest special edition issue of Medici Minutes. The issue also features an exclusive interview of XCOPY by Cozomo de’ Medici aka Snoop Dogg himself.
Snoop is also the owner of XCOPY’s famous NFT meme art ‘Right-click and Save As guy’ which he purchased for a whopping 1600 ETH, approximately $7M.
In the interview, XCOPY shared some tidbits such as, if he were to morph into one of the characters among his artworks and be that character forever it would be ‘Some Asshole’ for sure.
He also revealed that if an evil demon comes along and burns all his published crypto artworks except for 3 pieces, he would save ‘summer.jpg’, ‘Gods of Tesco Metro’, and ‘Mortal’.
