US Congressman Barry Moore has been purchasing dogecoin(DOGE), ether (ETH), and Cardano (ADA) in recent months. According to a trading disclosure filed with the Clerk of the Home of Representatives on July 2, he purchased cryptocurrency in May and June.
Particularly, On May 5, Congressman Barry Moore bought Ethereum, adopted by three purchases of Cardano on May 10, 11, and 13 before buying dogecoin on June 13.
The trading disclosures did not specify how much of every coin Moore invested in. However, it gives a range of $1,001-$15,000 for each purchase. Meaning he has purchased between $5,000 and $75,000 in total.
The filling shows misspell of the phrases Ethereum as “Etherium” and crypto as “cryto”. The presence of Cardano on the balance sheet suggests that he was buying on a crypto exchange.

Moore’s filing is a part of disclosure necessities mandated by the “Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act,” or STOCK Act. The STOCK Act was passed in 2012. The act requires reporting trades in 30 days after receiving notification of reporting. The intention is to stop the possibility of insider trading.
The July 2 filing seems to be late for all but dogecoin purchases. Ethereum, Cardano, and Dogecoin’s price has dropped since his purchase. Though, there’s no telling if he has sold those tokens in recent weeks to book the profit.
